I Scored Big at the Sisterhood of Scrapbooking Retreat this Past Weekend!!

I think I did pretty good this past weekend at the retreat getting 8 2-page layouts done and 4 cards, but I really scored thanks to my DD Kristi. She was checking out the consignment table and came in and asked me if she needed a Silhouette. I told her that I have been wanting one for sooooo long, so she told me I should go out and buy it. Someone had one on the consignment table, in the box for $25.00. Can you believe that, so now I am the proud owner of it. Hopefully I will find the time in the near future to clean off a space for it in my scrap room and to be able to figure out how to set it up and start using it. Wish me luck! Thanks again Kristi!

Off to Scrapbook Expo...

I am off to the Scrapbook Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center this morning. I am meeting up with a few of my friends from Scrappin In The Hills and we will do a whirlwind trip around the expo before heading off to the Sisterhood of Scrapbooking Retreat in Fullerton. Kristi can't make it to expo with us since she has to work, but she will be meeting us at the retreat. I hope to get lots of scrapping done this weekend and have lots more to share with you. For now here is a layout that I did of Sarah and Sahara planting some flowers in little pots that we bought at Target. Have a great weekend!

Ouch!

Here is a layout I did with the pictures from Andy's knee surgery back in 2009. I have had these pictures and I found this kit at Out On A Limb and thought it would be perfect for them. He made us promise that we wouldn't take the camera to the hospital, but we didn't promise anything about once we got home.

Holly Jolly Christmas

I am soooo far behind on my scrapping, but I am trying to spend at least one weekend a month going to a crop or getting together with friends to scrap. Here is another layout that I did earlier this month with some pictures from Christmas 2008. Our Maddie was enjoying her fun bell collar while Kristi's little dog Daisy seemed to like being put in a box.

This layout was done with the help of a kit that I bought from Outonalimbscrapbooking.com. Of course I buy kits because I think that they will be easy to just whip them out, but then I find that I need to change them up some, so I am trying to get away from buying them, but need to use up all of the ones that I have been collecting over the past few years.

It Was Snowing...

These pages were done with the pictures that I took when we were on our way to Utah last February. This was a lot of snow for us, but I know that for everyone in snow country this year, this is nothing at all.

These pages were done with the Echo Park Wintertime line. The colors were just perfect to go with my pictures, I thought.

Vistiting the Lacys

Here are a couple more pages that I did from our trip to Utah and our visit to all of the kids that live there by Tim and Wendy. We went to visit Danny and Jill and the kids wanted to show us their rooms. They are all painted really cute and Danny and Jill did all of the painting and art work themselves. They did a great job. Jill also made the bathroom cabinets (which is why I took a picture of their bathroom), she is very talented. We really enjoyed our visit with them and hope to be able to go back again soon.

Happy Valentines Day...

Happy Valentines Day everyone... We are not ones that really celebrate this holiday but if you are I hope that you are doing something fun!

This is a card that I made for a Valentine swap over at Sassy Lil' Sketches. We were given a name and asked to send a valentine card with an embellishment inside. I hope that the person that got my card liked the embellies. I know I did because I had to buy duplicates of them so I would have some too.

Another layout to share...

Here is another layout with pictures taken from the trip to Utah last year. This is Michelle's family.

I started this layout with a kit that I had bought several years ago. One of my focuses this year is to use up a lot of what I already have. So I am trying to use up my kits that I have been collecting rather than using. I added the Family tag and cut some flowers with the Tim Holtz flower die. You will probably be seeing a lot more of these flowers, just love them! Thanks for looking and I will try to be back to share some more this week.

Happy 35th and a Layout to Share

Yesterday Barry and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary. It is hard to believe that it has been that many years! We had a very nice dinner at Chomp in Fullerton at their Tappan Bar. The cook was amazing with all of his little tricks and the food was wonderful! On to the next 35...

Also I have gotten off to a decent start on my scrapping for this year, just a little slow at sharing it. I went with my friend Liz back on the 14th of January to Scrapbook Daisies and we scrapped for two days and I was able to get 12 pages done. I went back there this past Saturday and completed 6 more. I will try to share them with you over the next couple of weeks. Here are the first two, these are a 2-page layout, which if you know me, that is all I do... These were pictures that were taken last February when we went to Utah to visit with Barry's brother, Tim and his family. These pictures were taken at Karen's house with her and her girls. As you can see she was very pregnant and welcomed her first boy into her family just a few weeks after we were there.
