Happy Birthday Poppy

No, today would not have been his birthday, but I wanted to share this layout that I did. This was from the last trip that we took together to Colorado and it was his birthday, so Lauren and Emily decorated for us to have a party for him. We had lots of fun and took these pictures.

This layout was made with the Pink Paislee Sweet Cakes and Office Lingo Collections. I picked up this paper some time ago at The Scrappin Table in Placentia (which has now been closed for over a year), so that might give you an idea of how long I have had it, but my goal this year is to start using up all of this paper that I have been collecting.

Thanks for looking!

Epiphany Button Maker

Back in January my friend Liz gave me an Epiphany Button Maker. I have not used it, but yesterday I went to a crop with her at Pages from the Heart in Monrovia. While we were there they had a make-n-take to make a card using the Epiphany small round with their new charms. They also showed us how to use the button maker, so maybe I will start making some buttons. I also bought the Round 25 and have already used it. Karen had invited Liz and I to join her at the crop, but then realized that she had another engagement for that day that she couldn't get out of. We had a good time and got some scrapping, shopping and visting done and were happy to see Karen when she stopped in for some visiting and shopping at the end of the day. Here is the card that we made for the make-n-take, which was made with Cosmo Cricket Salt Air paper.

Thanks for looking.

LOVE my Scanner

This layout was scanned on the new scanner that I got for Christmas this year. I can't believe that I had not installed it and tried it before now. I just love it! It was what Barry gave me for Christmas and I think he was disappointed because it was delivered to the house on the one day that I came home early and found it sitting on the front porch, and then I didn't install it for a long time. He was with me today when I installed it and these were the first images that I scanned. We both were very pleased with the results. I hope you like them...

This is a layout that I did with a little help from Sarah. We were doing the layout of the birthday celebration for my mom, Andy and Sarah. Sarah helped me cut out the cake and balloons from my Cricut and wrote the names and ages on the balloons. We had fun working on this together.

Blog Makeover

My blog got a makeover this weekend thanks to Shanna Vineyard. She has started a new business of creating blog banners and I think she did a fantastic job on mine. It makes me want to have my blog open all the time to look at it.

Seriously… I’m IN LOVE with what she created for me and she could do the same for you! Do you need/want one for your blog? Is yours boring and blah and not really you??? She would love to help! $35.00 gets you one customized to fit/match your blog background AND personality.

Email her and let her know what you’re looking for. shannavineyard@comcast.net

I'm sure that you would love what she can do for you as much as I love what she did here. You can check out some of the others that she has done from the Icon on my sidebar.

March 21st Sassy Reveal - Make a Wish

Today is reveal day over at Sassy Lil' Card Sketches with another great sketch from Cherie...

We are still working with the papers that were furnished to us by Nikki Sivils, our sponsor this month. For this card I used the It's Your Day paper line and ribbon from The Fabric Barn. My friend Evelyn at work is having a birthday this Saturday and I think this will be a perfect card for her especially since green is her favorite color.

Be sure to go by and check out all of the other cards that the DT has created with the Nikki Sivils papers. Don't forget that you have until April 5th to use any of the March sketches to be included in the drawing for March. Have fun and thanks for looking.

You might want to also go by and check out the new sketch and layouts that were created for the reveal over at Scrappy Lil' Sketches.

Another layout to share...

These pictures were taken on Mothers' Day 2010. We had breakfast in the morning with the kids and then I fixed dinner later in the day for my mom, but of course I forgot to take pictures when mom was there, so I included the picture of the card that I had made for her in the layout.

This was done with Close to my Heart Splendor Paper Pack, Prima flowers, Spellbinders Label 11, Martha Stewart border punch, Cricut - Cherry Limeaid font and bling from stash. Thanks for looking...

Housewarming Party Winner

Last week I was doing some blog hopping to try to check out what some of the girls from Treasured Scrapbooking have been doing. I stopped by to check out what Lisa Houpt "Just Lisa" has been doing and happened upon her sneak peak Housewarming Party blog hop for a brand new kit company ~ House of Art, so I decided to check it out and went each day to comment on the blogs. Then on Monday I was surprised to see that my name had been drawn for the prize. When I emailed my address to the owner, Ariana Mangum, I was surprised to find that she is very local to me. She is very nice and I hope that you will go by and check out their kits. This is the prize that I received yesterday. I can't wait to use it. I will definately be checking them out each month to see what they have to offer.

The Original Three Ts

As promised here is the last layout from our visit with the Thurbers. When I did this layout it reminded me of Michelle's blog that was once called the Three Ts. These are the original 3 Ts before sweet Lincoln came along.

I really like how this layout turned out and it was the first time for using my new Scrapbook Generation Sketch book for two-page layouts that I received as a gift from my friend Liz. I just love the sketches and ended up ordering two more volumes. I also used Bazzill CS, October Afternoon Seaside PP, Sizzixs star die, Thickers, Buttons from stash and Queen & Co pearls. Thanks for looking.

This layout is some more of the pictures that were taken when we had dinner with the Thurbers last September. We had such a good time visiting with them. I have one more layout from their visit and will share that in a couple of days.

For this layout I used Bazzill CS, Cosmo Cricket Lil' Man line, Sizzix die, MFT dienamics, spellbinders Lacey Circles and a sketch from Scrapbook Generation.

It is reveal day once again over at Sassy Lil' Card Sketches. This is the newest sketch from Cherie...

Our sponsor this month is Nikki Sivils and she was very generous to supply the DT with some of her paper to create with. This is the card that I came up with for this sketch using her "Its Your Day Birthday Wishes" line.

Be sure to head over to Sassy Lil' Sketches to check out the rules and enter your take on the sketch.

Bowling in Las Vegas

We are in Las Vegas this morning bowling our sweepstakes. Hopefully we will all do well and win a little money, but even if we don't I'm sure that we will all be having fun!

These are the pictures that I took last August when we were in Vegas for our Sweeps. I scrapped these last weekend, I figured I better get them done before I get more pictures and get further behind on my scrapping. I hope that you are all having a great weekend!

Tomorrow we will be off to the Nascar Cup Series here in Las Vegas. We are hoping to see a good race and hope to see one our favorites do well.

Happy Saturday and thanks for stopping by...

Cousins ~ White Space Challenge

This is one of the layouts that I did this past weekend at the Sisterhood of Scrapbooking Retreat. It was really hard for me to leave all of the white space on it, which inspired me to host a White Space challenge over at Sassy Lil' Sketches Forum. I hope that you will come over and check it out and maybe even join in on the challenge.

This layout was created with the Close to My Heart Zippidee Collection, Tim Holtz Paper Rosette, Junkitz Rubons, and Color Box Chestnut Roan Chalk
