Weekend Card Making

I have been doing a lot of card making this weekend. All total I made six. Some of them took longer to come up with the idea and get them made than others, but it was a lot of fun. Here are the last two that I haven't already posted this weekend. Hopefully I can get a few more made this week. As you can probably tell, my new favorite embellishment is satin ribbon. I went a couple weeks ago and bought 8 or 9 spools and as I have been using it I have been thinking that I probably should go back and buy some more.

Card Patterns Sketch 57 Once Again

I really enjoyed this sketch this week and decided to make another card from it. Here is what I came up with.

Unscripted Sketches #48

Here is a card that I made today using the sketch over at Unscripted.

Card Patterns Sketch 57

This morning I was checking out my email and saw the Card Patterns Sketch 57 and really liked it. So I printed it off and went upstairs and made this card.
I hope you like it.

Busy Week

This has been another busy week, but a fun one. I joined in on the Helmar blog hop last weekend and enjoyed all of the inspiration that their design team had to offer and actually won one of the prizes they were giving away. I won the random drawing from Marci's blog. I won some of their zap dots and they arrived Thursday.

Last night I made a birthday card for Suzanne's Green and Brown color challenge over at Scrappin Coast 2 Coast and I used my zap dots on it. I think they are something I will have to keep in stock at all times.
Here is the front of the card.

And here is a picture of it opened.

Easel Card

Eva over at Treasured Scrapbooking posted a challenge last month to create an easel card. I never got around to making this for her challenge but kept the instructions close by and tried it out this weekend. I absolutely love these cards so you will probably be seeing a variety of them from me in the future. I made this card for my sister-in-law Anne for her birthday this week and included one of my handmade crocheted flowers on it. Thanks for looking.

Long Week

It has been a very long week. As much as I love it staying light longer each day, I don't like getting use to daylight savings time. Hopefully it will be better next week. I am going to go to a crop this weekend and hope to get lots of layouts done. Here is a card that I made this past weekend for a rainbow card challenge over at Scrappin Coast 2 Coast.

Back from Vacation

We had a great vacation but it has been a busy week trying to get caught up on everything at work and at home. We were gone for 11 days and came home to a visit from my sister, so I was away from work for a total of 8 days which is a little too much since I am still playing catch up. We went to Vegas for bowling and then to Salt Lake City to visit Tim (Barry's brother) and Wendy and 3 of their 4 kids and their families (I will try to share pictures soon) and then back to Vegas for Nascar weekend. We went Friday, Saturday and Sunday, had a great time but we were tired at the end. Upon arriving home, my sister Donna was here visiting with my mom so I spent some time with her and tried to make some cards. She and Linda made some really cute cards and I managed to do a team effort card with Donna. Shere chose the paper, cut it and then handed it off to me. I inked it, made the flower, picked out the embellishments and rub-on saying and then assembled it. I think I was a little too tired to do much on my own. Here is the tag-team card that we came up with.
