Productive Sunday???

I am going to be getting ready today to go and scrap tomorrow, so hopefully I will be able to get a few things done and come back and post them. Wish me luck! It's been a while since I have done anything, so I am hoping that I will be able to complete a few layouts and maybe even a couple of cards.

I can't believe it has been almost a month!

It has been a while since I have posted on here. Barry (DH) was pretty sick most of the month of September and even spent a few days in the hospital. I was able to sneak away the first weekend in October to go to Arizona and go to the Bazzill sale and my two favorite stores in AZ, Scrapbooks Etc. and Scrapbook Barn. I did some scrapping while I was there and just haven't taken the time to photograph them and post, hopefully soon.

I have also gotten really far behind on all of my challenges that I want to complete. I am going to try to do a few this week and I will try to check back and post some photos. Until then...

Unscripted Sketch #23

This was last week's sketch and I am a little late, but finally got it done. I went to a crop yesterday with a couple of friends and really wasn't as productive as I would have liked to have been, but I got a couple of layouts done, which I will post later, and made this card from the scraps of one of the layouts.

Mojo Monday Turns 100 - Day 5 Sketch

This is a card that I made using a sketch from Mojo Monday and some of the pp from my April's August Card Challenge over at ScrappinCoast2Coast. I colored some clear beads with alcohol inks, a technique that I learned while at a store in San Diego when I was doing the So. Cal Shop Hop.

Unscripted Sketch

This card is the last card that I did tonight for April's challenge. I used the butterfly and love sticker from the kit, the balance of the materials came from my stash. I used the sketch over at Unscripted for this card.

Mojo Monday Sketch

This is another one of the cards that I made for April's challenge. I used a sketch from Mojo Monday for this one. The ribbon, patterned paper and bling were all part of the kit that I received from April.

April's Card Challenge at Scrappin Coast 2 Coast

April hosted a special card challenge over at Scrappin Coast 2 Coast this month. You had to sign up and she sent us each a kit with several items in it. This is one of the cards that I made using one of the sheets of patterned paper. I added the cardstock, ribbon, hardware and rubon and came up with this card, which I used the sketch over at Unscripted (flipped upside down) and I lifted from my sister Donna.

Where Has This Month Gone???

Wow, I can't believe that we are already in the final third of this month. I don't know where the time has gone. I don't want to say it too loud but it will be Christmas before we know it.

I have done absolutely no scrapping this month due to the heat we are having. I hope that before long I will be able to get going and get some layouts done. We are planning a month long crop over at Scrappin Coast 2 Coast for the month of August, so I hope that you will be able to join us.

We have started training with the pups and hope that we can get them whipped into shape sooner than later. It's hard to believe that they will be 6 months old this weekend. I will try to get new pictures of them and post them.

Have a great day everyone!

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July everyone! Today is a kick-back kind of day. We got up and went to Huntington Beach to the "Park Bench" a great little restaurant in the park where you can take your dogs. Next time I will take the camera and take pictures! Then we went for a drive up the coast. I think we will relax the rest of the afternoon and watch the NASCAR race. Plan to BBQ and stay in to keep the dogs calm with all of the fireworks. Not too sure how they are going to react since it is their first
4th. Have a great one!

Happy Friday

Happy Friday everyone! I am so glad that it is Friday. No more work for a few days. I am off most of next week. I have out-of-town company and will only be working part day on Tuesday. We have a family gathering on Sunday, so it will be nice to see everyone. I will try to take pictures and post a few. Have a great weekend everyone.

It's Tuesday Already

I can't believe that it is Tuesday already. The CKC convention was fun on Friday but a very long day. The first two classes were fun and I got all of my cards done except for putting the sentiments on them. I will do that when I know what I want to use them for. I will try to post them later when I get my bags unpacked. I did some shopping at the vendor faire and bought a few page kits, a couple of card kits, a cricut cartridge, and a spellbinder die. I can't wait to use them all, but just not sure when I will have the time.

I did do a quick card over the weekend for a challenge over at Scrappin Coast 2 Coast. The challenge was to do something, a layout or a card using up some of your scraps. Here is the card that I made.

Happy Wednesday

I can't believe that it is Wednesday already, where is this week going. I finished this card tonight for one of April's challenges over at Scrappin Coast 2 Coast. The challenge was to make a card with a sentiment done in alpha stickers. I received a package of Thickers today from Natalie and they went perfect on this card. The colors look a little off in this scanned image but they match a lot better than it looks.

I can't believe the number of cards that I have been making lately. I am going to CKC Pasadena this Friday and taking 3 card classes. We are suppose to come home with 11 cards made, we'll see if I can get them completed. I will post and show you what I get done.

Have a great week, what's left of it and I will check back in this weekend to report back on the card classes.

I think I found my card mojo!

This is a card that I made last night for my niece Lauren's graduation. I found the sketch on Mojo Monday. I have been looking at them for a while, but haven't done anything with them.

Here are a few of the cards that I have been making

This is a graduation card that I made for my cousin's daughter who is graduationg next week from Santa Margarita. I bought this paper two years ago when her sister graduated and I found the scraps and made this card.

Can you tell that I just love this paperline from BoBunny. It is probably my favorite line right now.

I will try to post a few more cards tomorrow.

It's Been A While

I have been having problems with my computer everytime I try to update on here, so let's hope it works this time. The pups have really been growing as you can see in the picture.

I have been doing a lot of scrapping and card making this month. I have been hosting A Card a Day in the Month of May over at ScrappinCoast2Coast, so it has kept me pretty busy making lots of cards. I will try to post a few on here sometime this week.

Having Fun with the Pups

Those two puppies are so darn cute. We are just loving spending time with them and playing with them. I will try to take some more pics this weekend and post them. Mic weighed in at 17 pounds this week and Macey was 15. Macey loves to bark and Mic just likes to run around.

Stay tuned for more updates...

A Couple New Additions to our Family

Here are a few of the pictures of our newest additions Macey (with the purple leash) and Mic (with the blue leash). They are the cutest things ever! They had a very long day yesterday. We went to pick them up and they had a long two-hour drive home. It was the first car ride for both of them and yes, they both got sick on the way home.

On our way home we stopped at Petco and did a little shopping. New collars, leashes, toys, food dishes, water bowl, pooper scooper, and treats, about $200 later we were finally on our way home.

They laid in the front yard for a little while and then we took them over to Sandy's shop and Sandy and Kristi gave them baths and made them smell so good! They were then ready to go home and try to settle in. They came in and found a spot to lay down and sleep for a while. We are so glad to have them as part of our family. I will post more pictures soon.

Yes, we did return from Vegas

Sorry I haven't been on for a little while. My computer was out for about a week and now I have problems trying to post pictures. I will hopefully be able to work that out this weekend and be able to share pictures of my scrappiness and also our new puppies that we are getting on Sunday. Have a great day everyone!

Off to Vegas Once Again...

Well it seems like we were just in Las Vegas, but guess what, we are going back. Barry wants to go to the Mint 400 for some nostalgia. They have brought this race back and since we used to go every year back in the 70's and 80's it just seems like the right thing to do. They are having Tech inspection down Fremont Street they way it used to be. We are looking forward to spending the day downtown and then back to South Pointe where we are staying. Barry and Andy will head out to the race early Saturday morning and I am going to stay back and the hotel and just relax and work on feeling better.

I still have the cough that I have had for about a week, but it is getting much better. I am looking forward to having a day off work tomorrow and spending the weekend away doing whatever I feel like doing.

Have a great weekend and I will check back in when we get back. Wish me luck!

This is a card that I made this weekend for one of the challenges over at Scrappin Coast 2 Coast. The crop has been extended until this weekend, I am glad about that because I was sick in bed most of the weekend and didn't get any scrapping done, so hopefully I will be able to get some done this week.

I can't believe that it is already the last week of the month and the first quarter of the year will be behind us. Where is the time going???

Have a great week everyone!

The last of the scrappiness from Sedona

We had such a good time in Sedona and we're actually able to get some layouts completed. These are a couple pages that I did from some pictures we took at California Adventure last March when Donna, Anne and the girls came out to California.

These pages were from pictures taken when Barry and I went up to Concord in October 2007. We had a great dinner at Humphreys which is right on the river.

This page was done as a progressive layout. Everyone brings some pictures, paper, and embellishments to the table. You start by moving over one space and start working on a layout for 5 minutes. At the end of 5 minutes you stop whatever you are doing and move over to the next spot. You keep going 5 minutes at a time until you get back to your own layout. I was not going to do this, but decided in the end to pull some stuff and join in. It was a lot of fun and I really like the way the layout turned out. If you haven't ever done this you should give it a try some time.

Another Week Almost Over

I can hardly believe that another week is almost over. It has been so crazy busy lately. My sister was here last weekend and left on Wednesday. We got together to scrap on Sunday and she made several cards. I spent most of the time making my cards for the February card swap over at Scrappin Coast 2 Coast. It hasn't been shown over there yet, so I will have to wait to show a picture, but I should be able to post it by this weekend. I didn't get anything else done, but I did get my table cleared off and my stuff from my Sedona trip put away. So now when I have some extra time I will be able to go in and work on something. I hope to get some scrapping done over the next week or so. Natalie is hosting a weekend crop starting a week from tonight over at SC2C. I hope that you will stop by and join us. Have a great Friday the 13th everyone!

Back from Las Vegas

We had a great time in Las Vegas this past weekend. We went to watch the qualifications for Nascar on Friday, bowled on Saturday and back to Nascar for the cup race on Sunday. I will share a few pictures later this week when I get them uploaded from the camera.

Here are a few more of the pages that I did in Sedona.

Scrappiness from Sedona

Last weekend there were a few of us that went to a scrapbook retreat in Sedona, Arizona. The view there was spectacular and a lot of scrappiness went on. There were 11 of us there and all together we completed over 150 pages. Here are a few of mine.

I will share more later but things have been really crazy at work so I haven't had much time to post anything and we are off today to go to Las Vegas for our bowling sweepstakes and the Nascar race. I will try to post more pictures when I get back.

Happy Birthday Liz

My friend Liz is celebrating her birthday today. We actually celebrated the past two weekends. We went to lunch and I gave her a new tote to take to Sedona and the we celebrated again this past weekend in Sedona. But today is her birthday and I hope that she has a great day! It is also Jenn Reeve's birthday and she was in Sedona with us and celebrated her's with us also. Happy Birthday to you both...

Another Weekend Gone By

Another weekend has almost come to an end. I have gotten a lot accomplished, but again no scrapping. I guess I am saving it all for the trip to Sedona. Liz is coming Wednesday night to spend the night and Karen will be arriving before 6 on Thursday morning. We will be off and the plan is to meet up with Jenn and Teresa at the Scrapbook Barn around noon in Gilbert, AZ and then lunch at Serranos. We are not sure who else will be able to join us, but we are looking forward to the shopping and lunch. Then we will be off to Scrapbooks Etc., one of our favorite stores and a trim shop across the street. We hope to be able to hit Hobby Lobby while we are out also. We are then hooking up with Natalie to go to a tutorial class on the Design program for our Cricut. Sounds like a fun packed day.

Friday morning we will probably meet up with everyone for breakfast and then venture off to Sedona. We will be in Seonda for the weekend for a retreat and hopefully lots of scrapping.

I will try to pop in here again before we leave, but I have lots to get done here at home along with another crazy busy week at work.

It's Almost the Weekend!

I am soooo looking forward to this weekend. It has been crazy busy at work and I have been putting in lots of long hours. I thought I was going to have to work most of the weekend, but it is looking like things are coming together and I might just get to enjoy the 3 days off.

I am hoping to get together with Liz at some point on Saturday. We are getting ready for our trip to Sedona next week and I have a few items that I need to get to her just in case she wants to pack them away and take along.

Sunday we are going to a Daytona party to celebrate the beginning of the Nascar season. It should be lots of fun.

Monday will hopefully be a day to get everything packed for the Sedona trip. I am really excited about this trip and looking forward to lots of scrapping. I hope to have lots to post at the end of the trip.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Andy's Surgery

My son Andy had knee surgery on Tuesday. They were able to go in and clean things up and he is doing very well. He has been up walking all around, driving and ready to get back to everything he enjoys. He received this card in the mail today from my cousin Linda. She has been making cards for about a year now and does a fantastic job. All of her cards are so creative. I just love this one!

January Card Swap Card

Here is the card that I made for the January card swap over at Scrappin Coast 2 Coast. It was to be black and white with a spot of color. This card was made with the cuddlebug embossing folders. I just love those and need to start using them more. February's card swap is to make something with "bling". Sign-ups are open until February 6th, so if you would like to join in, come on over and sign up.

Final Challenge for January

Just under the wire I completed this card for April's sewing challenge over at ScrappinCoast2Coast. I was hoping to get more done in January, but hopefully February will be a better month for scrapping.
