Cards In Envy - July 15th Themed Challenge

Tomorrow is the reveal over at Cards In Envy with the new themed challenge. Our challenge this time is to create a card with layers.  Please create and share  A2 (4.25" x 5.5") cards that fit  in an envelope with no lumpy bumpy flowers, buttons or embellishments. 

The challenge starts tomorrow, Monday, July 15th and runs until July 28th.  The Designers will pick one card  as the "First Class" Winner for best all around card and three or more cards will be chosen as "In the Mailbox" for runners up.  All "winners' will be awarded one of our new Cards in Envy badges to proudly display on their own blog.  I hope that you will play along with us.

WELCOME EVERYONE. WE ARE SO SUPER EXCITED TO START today with our 

first MONDAY with a sketch at the  TURTLE SOUP.

 I am sharing my version of the sketch and hope you'll jump on over to the forum 

and view what the rest of the DT made using it too. 

It's our way of announcing the new DT with a REVEAL all in one package.

 BELOW IS A CONDENSED LIST OF WHAT WE HAVE PLANNED EVERY MONTH FOR YOU. 

DAILY CHALLENGES 

Sunday Cards (anything goes) 
Monday Sketch (1 layout, 2 cards or 2 tags or 2 ATC's) 
Tuesday TTT (tools, techniques, tips) (copics, digital etc) 
Wednesday Stash ( use up your stash) 
Thursday Scraplift (members from our gallery) 
Friday Inspiration (pinterest, ads, photos, colour, quotes, etc) 
Saturday All Sorts (labels, flags, tags, party favours, ATC's etc) 
EXCEPTION the first Saturday of every month will be PROJECT 12 with Lisa Moen 

Challenges will be posted daily up to the 3rd Friday of the month. 

Whenever possible in all the challenges and the mini crop - you will be allowed to make a choice to make either 1 layout, 2 cards or 2 tags or 2 ATC's.
Some projects won't allow this so watch for instructions when posted.

MINI CROP EVERY 3RD FRIDAY OF EVERY MONTH 

On the 3rd Friday of every month we will have a Mini Crop which will be themed, have at least 7 challenges all posted that day and you have the entire whole week to play along ending at midnight EST the following Saturday.

NO challenges will post the rest of the month. This time will be used to catch up and finish the months challenges. 
Play a lot or only join in on only the things that interest you.. but you have the choice about how much you play along with.... but with lots of options.

Cards In Envy News and Reveal

I am very excited to announce that I have been invited to join the Design Team at Cards in Envy.  This is the sketch for the reveal tomorrow along with my card.

 

We've got a new challenge starting up TOMORROW over on Cards in Envy.  It's a sketch challenge.   And it will be the last challenge with a sketch but NOT the last challenge.  Starting in August, we will be having all themed challenges for Cards in Envy.  I'm posting my card for the challenge a day early as I have my own challenge that also goes live tomorrow and I didn't want this one to get overlooked by all of you.  I know I have a lot of very talented friends and followers and I want to encourage you to create an A2 (4.25"x5.5") non lumpy, bumpy card following this sketch:

B is for Bling

I am at a scrapbooking retreat this weekend with friends at Roughley Manor, a Bed and Breakfast in Twentynine Palms.  This is the first project that I worked on, a card for the ABC Crop over at My Sketch World.  I hope that you will check it out and come join in the fun.  I used a card kit that I bought from Chiaki Haverstick with Stampin Up.
