I know that I am a couple days early, but I signed up for an Easter Card Swap over at Sassy Lil' Sketchs Forum where we made an easter card and sent it off to the person we were assigned along with an embellishment. I hope that the recipient of my card and goodies liked them. I really liked the April 21st sketch at Sassy Lil' Card Sketches, so I decided to use it again for this card.
This card was made with Cosmo Cricket Delovey PP, Sizzix Accordian Flower, Buttons from stash, Ribbon from stash, Studo G Wood Stamp, and Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
I have been collecting 6x6 pads for a little while now and have decided to make a concentrated effort to start using them rather than just collecting them. I won the Delovely pad last summer from The Scrap Review and I really like it. I am really glad that I used it on this card as I think that it is very springy and made a great easter card.

Sisterhood of Scrapbooking Retreat
Last July when I went to my first retreat with Sisterhood of Scrapbooking I won the grand prize, which was two nights in a suite at the Holiday Inn. This layout is one that I did this past weekend while at the retreat. I ended up sitting next to Carole this weekend and she said, oh, I took those pictures! We had a great time at the retreat and I got a few layouts done. I will try to share a few more over the next week or so.
I tried a new technique which was pleating. It was fun to do. I used a scorpal to do it, scoring it at the 3/4" marks and 1" marks. I used BoBunny Peacock Lane Collection, Imaginisce I Bond, Epiphany Round 25, Tim Holtz Paper Rosette, Recollections Mini Round Gems, Ice Stickles Glitter Glue, Helmar 450, Helmar Gemstone Glue, CTMH Kraft borders, Spellbinders Lacey Circle, and CTMH Lagoon Ink Pad with sponge dauber.

It's Sassy Lil' Card Sketches Reveal Day Once Again
Boy, I don't know where this month is going. It seems to be flying by...
Well, it is that time again and Cherie has another great sketch for us.
Here is my take on the sketch. I wanted to make a thank you card for Barry's boss who invitied us to join her, and some other people from the group that he works in, in a suite at the Dodger game opening weekend. We had a really good time and I wanted to make a card for her. I thought that this was the perfect sketch to use for it.
For this card I used Chatterbox Rubon Alphas, MFT Banner Die Cut, Bazzill CS, Stamping Station PP, Double Mates CS, Creative Imaginations PP, Best Creations 3D Foam Tape, Colorbox Charcoal chalk, and Baker's twine.
Don't forget that by using one of the card sketches this month and linking it to the Sassy Lil' Card Sketches blog by May 5th, you will be eligible to win a prize from one of our sponsor this month.
Remember that they are revealing over at Sassy Lil' Sketches today also. If you enter a layout on that blog you will be eligible for a prize from one of the layout sponsors.
Thanks for looking.

Sisterhood of Scrapbooking Retreat and News to Share
I am off to the Holiday Inn in Fullerton for the Sisterhood of Scrapbooking Retreat. I am looking forward to seeing several of the ladies that I have met at the past retreats and meeting some new people. It starts this morning at 11:00 and goes until 4:00 pm on Sunday. The scraproom is open non-stop for the whole weekend and we could scrap the entire time, but of course I won't be doing that. I am not staying at the hotel this weekend. It is only about 20 minutes from the house, so I will be going home each night. Hopefully I will spend enough time scrapping to have a few things to share over the next week or so.
Also, I have some exciting news to share today. I believe that the brand new (first time ever) design team is being announced at Pages of the Heart today. Go check it out here.
Enjoy your weekend!

A Day at the Park
This has been a crazy busy weekend here with my sister visiting from Colorado. I have hit a few of the local scrapbook stores in the area, but haven't had a chance to do any scrapping. This is one of the layouts that I did recently with some pictures from one of our Willow Street Reunions.
These layouts were created with the Echo Park Sweet Summertime Blue Sky, Citrus Circles and Element stickers. AC and Bazzill CS, Sunny Days Border, Cricut Chery Limeaid cartridge, scrapmart spellbinder die, Paper Studio gemstones, ColorBox Chestnut Roan chalk, and Versa Magic Turquoise Gem chalk. I hope you like it and thanks for looking.

Sassy Lil' Card Sketches Reveal Day
It's hard to believe that it is reveal day already. Here is Cherie's new sketch over at Sassy Lil' Card Sketches.
As soon as I saw this sketch I envisioned buttons on it, therefore you see buttons!
I was given the opportunity to buy the Sew Cute paper line from My Little Shoebox and I said no, I don't think it is for me. Well, the very next day I was in the scrapbook store and saw the paper there IRL and fell in love with it. Then I saw the Epiphany Round 25 and thought I might like to have it. Towards the end of the day I was contemplating returning it until I started making this card and found the perfect use for it and now I LOVE it.
This card was made with The Sew Cute paper line Made with Love, Nothing but Buttons, and In Stitches. Don't you just love the colors! I used American Craft Elements Confetti Buttons, the Tim Holtz Paper Rosette die, Sizzix SU Bigz Top Note die, Epiphany Round 25, Imaginiesce Ibond, Memento Tuxedo Black, Colorbox Chestnut Roan chalk and a Happy Birthday stamp out of my stash (manufacturer unknown).

Kristi Lacy "Come On Down"
As some of you know last September Kristi turned 30 and wanted to go to The Price is Right. We went on line and got 8 tickets and decided to go try to get in. If you don't know, just because you have a ticket it doesn't guarantee you to get in. So Kristi, Andy, Erin and Jen went up to LA Tuesday night about 11:30 and got in line. There was only one other person in line in front of them. Becky, Joyce, Robyn and I joined them about 5:15 to be there before they had out the Order of Arrival tickets at 6:00 am. We got our tickets 2-9 and had to be back by 8:00. We went next door to the Grove and got a bagel and then headed back over there. The taping was at 11:30 and none of us made it on the show, but we all sat in the first row, so we got lots of air time. At the end they said that they needed more people for the 4:30 taping and that they would be picking some of the contestants from the people that volunteered to come back. So, we decdided what the heck. Of course, we could leave the area, so we just grabbed a sandwich from their vendor and stuck around. Well, it was worth it because Kristi did get called down. Unfortunately she didn't make it up on the stage but she had fun and got some nice prizes anyways. We had so much fun that we got on their callback list and have been back for another taping and may just do it again.
Here is the layout that I did with the picture we had taken and some of our tickets.
This layout was made with Best Creations PP, Doodlebug Petite Prints, Sizzix SU BigZ Top Note and Bazzill CS.

Master Mechanic
These are a couple of the layouts that I did this past weekend. I love these pictures of the boys working on the Jeep. I especially like the ones with Tom in there checking things out and the one of him with Barry. We treasure all of the time that we get to spend with him since he lives so far away.
These pages were made using Karen Foster Auto Mechanic Tools Paper, Bazzill cardstock, Tim Holtz Alterations BigZ Gadgets Galore (thanks to Karen for letting me be the first to use her new die), and Colorbox Charcoal chalk.
