It is hard to believe that my 6-month term is already over at Pages from the Heart... This is my final project as a member of the design team.
I was given paper from the WeR Memory Keeper Autumn Splendor collection and let me just say that I LOVE this line. It is the cutest fall paper line that I have seen in a very long time and I think that I had just the perfect pictures to go along with it. Our only requirement on this project was to use some type of paint or stain effect on it. I chose to use the Viva Decor Pearl Pens to accent around one of the embellishments on my page. These are great pens that are very easy to use.
Thanks for stopping by and I will try to get back with some additional layouts that I have been doing this month.

Christmas In September at Pages
This month my design team project was to do a two-page layout (right up my alley) with the Authentique Christmas line. I just love this collection. For this layout I used the Yearning, Expectation, Curiosity and Awe. I also used a sketch from Scrapbook Generations and my Vixen alpha set from QuiKutz for my title.
Here is the boxed flower that I made for my embellishment on the layout. You can go over to Pages from the Heart to check out the tutorial on the boxed flower.
Thanks for looking.

Today is Card Sketch Thursday at Sassy Lil' Sketches and this is Cherie's great sketch:
And here is my take on the sketch.
For this card I used the AC Confetti paper line and an Inkadinkado stamp, a Bazzill chip to raise my sentiment and I even used my Copics to color in the cupcake. I also used my new Viva Pearl Pen to color in the sprinkles on the cupcake.

Another Card for Pages...
This is another one of the cards that I made with my DT kit from pages this past month. Have I said how much I just love this AC Confetti line? I love the colors in it. This card was made using a sketch from Scrapbook Generations Sketches for Cardmaking Vol. 2. I also used two of my crocheted flowers that I made as my homemade embellishment.
Thanks for stopping by to take a look. I will be back again tomorrow with my card for the Sassy Lil' Sketches Thursday Card Sketch.

Another Project for Pages From the Heart
This is the layout that I made this month for Pages from the Heart using the American Craft Confetti line, Creative Memories CS, EK Success Border Punch, EK Success Punch, Fiskars Border Punch, Spellbinders Die Lacey Circles, Colorbox Chestnut Roan ink, Best Creations 3D foam tape and ribbon from my stash.
I made the fun orange flower with my ribbon and love the way that the border punch turned out at the bottom with the ribbon threaded through it. I also used some of the punches that came out of the border as dots along the top outside edge.
Thanks for looking and if you are interested in learning how I made the flower, you can check out the tutorial on the Pages blog.

Pages from the Heart Reveal Time
Here is a card that I made with my kit from Pages from the Heart this month. My kit was the American Crafts Birthday line. We were asked to do a homemade embellishment. For this card I chose to make the ruffle at the bottom of the card. I really love this paper with all the bright colors and the fun baloons. If you are in the area be sure to stop by Pages and pick some up.

Sassy Lil' Card Sketches July 14 Sketch
I got a few things made this weekend, but some of them are DT projects, so I can't share just yet. Here is one of the cards that I did get done using the sketch from Sassy Lil' Card Sketches. I loved this sketch and love how this card turned out. I used some scraps from a kit that I had with one of the older BoBunny lines.

I'm Back...
I don't know where the past 3 months have gone... I was at the Sisterhood of Scrapping Retreat back in April and had a great weekend. When I got home that evening we got a call from my father-in-law that he was in the hospital and had been diagnosed with cancer. We headed up north by the end of that week to see how he was doing and what we could do to help him. He had to go through two weeks of radiation so we decided to stay up with him during that time. Well, my time got cut short there at the beginning of the second week as my mom fell at home at broke her hip. I got on an airplane and came home to be here for her surgery. She spent a week in the hospital and two weeks at rehab, but is back home now with some help but doing great, especially since she is almost 90. On the 3rd of June we headed back up to Redding to go relieve Barry's brother and help take care of his dad. He started getting worse the second day that we were there and he passed away while we were there holding his hands on the 21st of June. We were able to come home on the 25th, but it has been non-stop trying to take care of business ever since.
Needless to say I really haven't done much scrapping for these past 3 months except a few of my DT assignments. Well, I hope that this is changing starting this weekend. I am off to another weekend with Sisterhood of Scrapping and hope to be able to get a few things done and will be back this week to share some things with you. Have a great weekend!

Did You Say Mini???
Yes, that is what they said. Over at Pages of the Heart, one of our DT projects this month was to create a mini album. Well if you know me at all, you know that this was a real challenge for me. I usually only do 12x12 albums, but I have to say that I really like the way this one turned out. Take a look...
This was created from the October Afternoon 5 and dime collection. I am really loving this paper. You can buy it at Pages from the Heart.

Sassy Lil' Card Sketches ~ June 21 Reveal
It is that time again for another reveal over at Sassy Lil' Card Sketches. My life has been really crazy the past two months so I missed the first reveal this month, but I was able to get this one done for today's reveal.
Here is Cherie's sketch:
I used this sketch doing a mirror image:
For this card I used my scraps of the October Afternoon 5 & Dime collection. I just love this paper and really like the rosette flowers made with the Tim Holtz Mini Rosette die topped with a button made from the Epiphany Round 25. I also accented along the strip with Recollections Mini Round Gems. I also used one of my Ippity stamps from Unity.

Today is my first project reveal over at Pages From The Heart I was given paper from October Afternoon 5 & Dime Collection. This layout was a lot of fun to do using one of the sketches out of Sketches for Scrapbooking by Scrapbook Generation Vol. 7. I made lots of the rosette flowers from the Tim Holtz mini rosettes die. These flowers can also be made from scratch by using a scor-pal, they were a lot of fun to make and I love the Epiphany Round 14 and 25 that I used to make the tops for them using coordinating paper. I also used the Sew Easy Stitch Piercer for the first time on this project. I will be back to post the mini-album that I made with this fun paperline a little later. Be sure to check out the Pages blog to see more fun projects from the design team.
