Sassy Lil’ Sketches “Hidden” Treasures Blog Hop
We are having a Blog Hop…Sassy Lil’ Sketches style! We want you to get to know our new Sassies. There are some pretty fabulous prizes to win, too!
The "Hidden" Treasure Blog Hop starts at Sassy Lil’ Sketches where there are two of our sassy sketches and rules for the blog hop. After visiting Sassy Lil' Sketches you can choose which Sassy you would like to visit next. We recommend visiting every Sassy because we have "hidden" treasure at four of our Sassies' blogs.
Here is the card that I made from one of the sketches.
I hope that you enjoy the hop and will visit all of the Sassies' blogs. You have until August 30th, 9 PM. EST to participate and leave a comment on the blogs for a chance to win. We don't know where the hidden treasures lie, so be sure to check us all out and leave a comment. Be sure to leave a comment here on my blog for a chance to win some of my hand crocheted flowers.

Sassy Lil Sketches - August 7 Sketch
Here is the sketch that they had up at Sassy Lil' Sketches for August 7th...
and my take on the sketch.
This was a fun sketch to work with. Head over to Sassy Lil' Sketches and check out all of their sketches so far this month. They have two great sponsors this month, ScrapFreak and The Cutting Cafe.
Also, we have a Blog Hop that will be starting tomorrow so head back over tomorrow to check it out.

Summer Card Swap at Scrappin Coast 2 Coast
We had a summer card swap over at Scrappin Coast 2 Coast and this is the card that I made. The theme for this was "Summery Cards".
Materials used: Bazzill CS, Echo Park Summertime PP, Ippity Stamp Set, Michaels Felt ribbon, Fiskars Border Punch.
There eight other people who joined in on the swap and they were all really cute cards. Head on over to SC2C and check them out.

Sassy Lil' Sketches Reveal Day
Today is my first reveal day over at Sassy Lil' Sketches.
Here is the sketch:
Here is my take on the sketch using the cupcake image from The Cutting Cafe, our digital sponsor this month. I never thought I would use anything digital, but it has opened a new door for me and you will probably be seeing more digital images on my cards in the future.
I hope that you will join us and show us your take on the sketch. We have two great sponsors this month. Scrap Freak is our paper sponsor and The Cutting Cafe is our digital sponsor. Each entry this month will get their name in the drawing for a prize from one of the sponsors. So head on over to Sassy Lil' Sketches and give it a try.

Faux Stitching
This is a layout that I did for a challenge over at Scrappin Coast 2 Coast. The challenge is to do faux stitching somewhere on your layout or card. I cut a journal box with a Sizzix Tim Holtz Die and did faux stitching around it. I have to say that it is so much easier than trying to do it on the sewing machine.
The products that I used on this layout were: K&Co Lemon Drop PP, CM CS, and MS Punch
Thanks for looking.

Congrats!
Today is the first day of my cousin Becky's retirement. This is a card that I made for my mom to send to her. I'm sure that she is enjoying it today, but it probably hasn't really sunk in.
This card was made from the Echo Park - Life is Good Line. I also used the Now & Always stamp set from Ippity, and a SOLO stamp, Memento ink, MS punch, Ribbon from Fabric Barn and Best Creations 3D foam. It was a fun card to make and I like the way it turned out.

Goodbye Scrappin In The Hills
It was so sad to say goodbye at my LSS tonight. They are closing their doors for the last time tonight. I spent last night and today at a crop at their store and it was very difficult. I had a few bumps in the road to limit my time there and a real lack of mojo. I did manage to finish two cards I needed to make and will share them this week when I get a picture taken. My mom and I both are sending them to my cousin who is retiring this week, so I was glad to get those done. I'm not sure when I will be going back out to scrap, but hope to get going here at home again.
Have a great week everyone!
