MSW Sketch-A-Thon Sketch 2

It is hard to believe that the month of February is coming to a close.  It has been a very busy month over at My Sketch World with the Sketch-A-Thon.  I think that I finished 15 of the 20 sketches.  This was Sketch #2 and I used some pictures from Devon and Scott's wedding back in July of 2011.  Since I tend to only do two-page layouts, I did the mirror image of this one for the second page.

This layout was done using Authentique - Uncommon Collection (Gifted, Special, Rare, Foundation, and Original).  Diecuts - Sizzix Scalloped Giant and Spellbinders Tags & Flags.  Bazzill cardstock and Colorbox Chestnut Roan Chalk.

MSW Sketch #10

MSW Sketch-A-Thon Sketch #1 - Men at Work

This layout is created with CTMH Boom-di-ada paper pack, Irrestibles Pizzaz, CTMH Ink Pads (Hollyhock, Olive, and Creme Brulee) and the title was cut from Jubilee Cricut cartridge.

Cards In Envy - February Themed Challenge

The themed challenge over at Cards In Envy for February was to make a card using polka dots and/or stripes, so this is what I came up with. 

 

For this card I went back into my scraps and found this Kaiser Craft Pennyroyale Collection paper, used Tim Holtz Distress Ink - brushed corduroy, a Bazzill brad, and a Happy Birthday stamp from Stampin Up.

MSW Sketch #12 and Special Challenge

 

This is a layout that I did for two challenges at My Sketch World.  Page 1 was for Sketch 12 and page 2 used the same sketch and was for Lucy's special challenge to do a layout about something from Spring.

 

This layout was created using Echo Park Sweet Day, Bazzill cardstock, BoBunny Double Dot cardstock, Ava crystals, Kaiser Craft rub-on, Sizzix's Scallop Giant die, and Spellbinders Labels 17.  I inked everything with ColorBox Chestnut Roan chalk ink.

Unscripted Sketch #198

This is the sketch over at Unscripted this week:

 

 

And this is my take on it. 

 

 

I went digging into my scrap pile this week and found this MME 29th Street Mello "Cheerful" and Pleasant Petals/Harmony and MME Bohemia Barefoot "Play" Red papers and used my Photo Corner punch from Stampin Up, Tim Holtz Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink, and my Hero Arts Happy Birthday stamp.  I really like the way this card turned out.  Thanks for looking.

 

'Tis the Season

No, it is not Christmas, but this is a layout that I did a few weeks ago when I was at the Sisterhood Retreat.  These are pictures from our family gathering with pictures of the different generations along with my mom.  We had four different generations including mom and Uncle Bill, but he had already left when we decided to take these pictures.

 

This layout is done with a kit from Out on a Limb.  I though it worked really well with these pictures. 

 

Birthday Party

Here is another one of the layouts that I did with a kit that I bought from Embellish It, made from the Birthday Boy line from Bella Blvd.  I struggled with this one as it came with white cardstock for the background, but as soon as I changed the background to the orange, I really liked how it came out, very simple but fun.

Unscripted #197

Here is the sketch that is up at Unscripted Sketches this week.

And this is my take on the sketch.

I made a square card instead of the rectangular and I added a label with a sentiment.  I used Pink Paislee Bayberry Cottage paper, Colorbox Chestnut Roan chalk, EK Success Label punch, Kiwi Lane Tiny Nature 6T template and a Bazzill Parakeet brad.

MSW Sketch-A-Thon ~ Sketch 9

This is Sketch 9 from Lucy over at MSW and you have until March 2nd to post your creation either on the blog or in the forum.

 

Here is my take on the sketch.  I used Bazzill CS, MME Away We Go PP, SEI brads - Grandma's Attic, Lil' Davis chipboard frame, and Bazzill Happy Birthday rub-on.

MSW Sketch-A-Thon Special Challenge #2 - Mail Challenge

This challenge is to create a thank you card and give to someone special in your life.  This is the card that I made using American Crafts Dear Lizzy -Spring Giddy Grasshopper, Treehouse Memories Hailey Collection, Mft stamp and Die-namic set, CTMH black ink, Color Box charcoal chalk, and ribbon from Michaels.

Sun Rider Dinner Cruise

This is a layout that I did using some Best Creation paper that I bought to do these pictures, but just took me a long time to actually get around to using it.  I also used Thickers and gems from Michaels.

 

These pictures were from our first trip down to Cabo San Lucas in November of 2006.  That is when we fell in love with the place and enjoyed going back again the next year.  Hopefully we will be able to make another trip down there again soon.

 

MSW - Suzann's Embossing Card Challenge

This is the card that I made for Suzann's Embossing on a Card Challenge over at MSW.  I have not done embossing for a long time, but I really like the look and you will probably be seeing more from me with the embossing on it.

 

For this card I used Bazzill cardstock, Teresa Collins Every Day Moments patterned paper, Martha Stewart border punch, QuicKutz Polka Dots embossing folder, Martha Stewart Doily Tag, Versa Magic Dew Drop Night Sky, Bazzill rub-on and Best Creation 3D foam squares.

Cards In Envy ~ Sketch 1

My friend Karen aka Soccerboyzmom is on the Design Team over at a brand new site called Cards In Envy and this is the card that I made using their very first sketch.  They are going to have two challenges each month; the first one being a sketch and the second one is based on a theme.  Your card can't be any thicker than 1/4 inch and no embellishments can be thicker than a standard shirt button. 

 

Here is the card that I made from their first sketch.  The only embellishments that I used on this card are the 5 little bling, other than that it is all paper. 

 

MSW Sketch-A-Thon ~ Sketch 6

Here is a card that I made last night using Sketch 6 from MSW.  I used Pink Paislee - Indigo Bleu paper, border stickers, and chat clouds, Memento Dew Drop London Fog, Hero Arts Thank You stamp and CTMH black ink.

MSW Sketch 4

This is a card that I made for Sketch 4 over at the MSW Sketch-A-Thon.  The products that I used are Pink Paislee - Indigo Blue Paper and Chat Cloud, Basic Grey buttons, thread from my stash, Color Box Chestnut Roan Chalk, Best Creation 3D foam tape, and Helmar Adhesive Runner.

MSW Sketch #3 and Karen's Doily Card Challenge

I made this card last night using Lucy's Sketch #3 from the Sketch-A-Thon.  It also was created for Karen's Doily Card Challenge.  I made it using Bazzill Cardstock, Teresa Collins - Everyday Moments paper, one of my MS paper edge punch, a MS Doily Tag, Memento chalk, a Creative Imaginations Rub-on and some rhinestones from my stash.

A Green Birthday

This layout is from another kit that I picked up from Embellish It at the Play All Day last month.  One of the challenges last month at MSW was to use a color in your title, so this is the layout that I used.

 

This kit was made with Bella Blvd. Birthday Boy paper, chipboard and cute cuts.
