Love
This is a layout that I did using one of Lucy's sketches from My Sketch World. This is a picture of us when we had Tom's Celebration of Life up in Redding and we are all standing by the plant where June's ashes were placed. I was really happy with the way this turned out. I am loving the hexagons and you will probably be seeing more of them from me in the future.
Exciting News...
I just found out that I have been selected to be a Card Designer over at My Sketch World. I have missed being on a team and look forward to working with Lucy's sketches.
Here is one of the cards that I made to apply.
This card was made from Canvas Corp paper and cutouts, and some flowers from my stash.

Celebrate
Tomorrow I am off to the Fullerton Holiday Inn for the Sisterhood of Scrapbooking Retreat. What better way to go celebrate my birthday than to be doing something I really enjoy with Kristi and several scrappy friends. Here is a card that I made to have in my stash for some upcoming birthdays. Hopefully I will get lots of layouts and cards made this weekend.
This card was made from my scraps from Fancy Pants It's Your Day paperline. I like the pinwheel on it and will probably be making some more of them in the future. Thanks for looking.

And here is my take on it:

Lucy does some great sketches, you should head over to the forum and check them out. Thanks for stopping by.

Here is another card challenge over at My Sketch World. This challenge was to make a card using a Bingo card. I have had these bingo cards forever but never got around to using them, so this was a perfect challenge for me.
Here is my card:
I used Best Creation Happy Birthday paper, Hero Art Birthday Wishes stamp, Close To My Heart Black Ink, Color Box Chestnut Roan chalk, and felt trim from my stash.

EmbellishIt Class Three Layout
Here is the layout that we did for the 3rd class last Saturday. It is made with paper and chipboard from Echo Park - For the Record II - Documented. I just love this paper and these colors.
This is the sample from the class:
And this is what I did with it.
Thanks for looking. I will be back with a couple of challenges that I am trying to finish up for My Sketch World this month.

EmbellishIt Class One Layout
Saturday was a great day! My friends surprised me and turned it into an early birthday celebration. They treated me to breakfast and gave me lots of fun scrappy goodies. The Play All Day event was a lot of fun and pretty productive. They had four two-page layout classes during the day. I completed 3 of them, which was a great accomplishment for me.
This is the first class layout:
And this is what I did with it. I loved the Snap@ collection from Echo Park that we used on it.
I will try to come back tomorrow and show you the layouts from class 2.

Play All Day
It has been a crazy busy week, so no new scrapping, but I am looking forward to meeting up with a couple of friends, Liz and Karen, at the Play All Day event in Anaheim/Garden Grove. This event is put on by Shelby at Embellish It. We will have two classes, each consisting of 2-two page layouts, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. It is also an open crop until midnight, so I hope to have a few projects to come back and share. Wish me luck!

Thanks for stopping by to check it out. Check back for more creations from the challenges.

Happy Birthday
We are going out to dinner tonight with a friend. Her birthday was the 26th of December so I made a card today to give to her. I tried doing wet embossing. It is not the best but will have to do since I don't have time to redo it. This card was inspired by a sketch from Lucy over at My Sketch World.

This was a kit that I put together when visiting The Scrapbook Barn in Arizona about 4 or 5 years ago. I kept it put away for a rainy day (I guess), because I never quite got around to using it, until this past year. I thought these pictures from my mom's 80th birthday party were perfect to go with it. The pictures were even older than the paper, since my mom turned 91 this past September.

Happy New Year 2013
Well 2012 was not a good year for me blogging wise, but hopefully 2013 is going to prove to be much better. I am looking forward to this year and have lots of scrappy crops and retreats planned, so hopefully I will be back to share some cards and layouts with you.
I hope that 2013 will be a good year for all of you.
