Icy Hot Challenge at Cards in Envy

The new challenge is up over at Cards in Envy ~ Icy Hot!

Create a card that's either "Hot" or "Cold". This could be a beverage OR it could be a scene for example: Cold would be wintry scene and Hot would be a beach or tropical. Make sure your card is an A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") and is 1/4" or less in thickness to fit in an envelope.

This is a card that I made at a make-n-take at a crop.  As soon as I made it I thought of this challenge because it makes me think of the cold.

Tag, You're It Challenge at Cards In Envy

The new challenge is up at Cards in Envy today.  The challenge is to create a card with a tag on it.  My card is made with a flower created by tags that are folded to create the petals. 

Make sure your card is an A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") and is 1/4" or less in thickness to fit in an envelope.

Cards In Envy ~ Punch It Challenge

The new challenge is up over at Cards In Envy ~ Punch It.  Create a card using elements made from punches or die cuts. This is more than just using a die shape for a layer rather, have the main elements made from punches/dies. Make sure your card is an A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") and is 1/4" or less in thickness to fit in an envelope.

Here is the card that I made for this challenge.  I used a card idea from Chiaki Haverstick and love the way it turned out.  In fact I gave it to a dear friend this week for her birthday.

All of the elements for this card came from Stampin Up.  I used three different dies and a punch.

Turtle Soup Mini Crop

The Mini Crop has started over at Turtle Soup Forum and I have a challenge up.  My challenge is to create a layout, card, tag or any project that has something to do with family.  Here is the layout that I did that was from my mom's 80th birthday celebration.

This was a fun card to make.   My friend found this Chevron pattern technique on the internet and showed me how to do it while at a crop.  I found the instructions through Pinterest, go check it out and give it a try.  I thought it turned out really fun with this Authentique Halloween paper.  This challenge will end on Sunday, October 20th.

WCMD Mini Crop at Turtle Soup

WCMD Mini Crop is going on right now over at Turtle Soup Forum.   There are several challenges including my challenge to make a card using some type of embossing.  This is the card that I made for the challenge.

Saturday All Sorts Challenge at Turtle Soup

Today is my challenge at Turtle Soup and I chose to do a Card Gift Box.  I got the pattern from Chiaki at StampingPro.com.  It was a fun project to make, so I hope that you will go over and check out the tutorial and give it a try.

 

Here are pictures of the box that I made.  It holds standard A2 cards and envelopes.

 

 

Rev It Up with Cards in Envy

Let's REV IT UP!  For this challenge over at Cards in Envy, we'd like to see your A2 (4.25" x5.5") card creations that feature things with motors that one can "rev up." Think motorcycles, cars, airplanes, helicopters etc.  Any transportation type vehicle that has a motor that revs up.  We can't wait to see what you create and share!

I used American Craft cardstock, Echo Park - Scoot paper and Element stickers.

 

This challenge runs from today, August 5th thru August 18th, 11:55 p.m. (Central Time).

Remember, your card needs to be relatively flat (no lumpy, bumpy embellishments, flowers, buttons etc.) The total thickness of your  card and the envelope should be no more than 1/4" so it will fit through the USA post office guide, if it's thicker than that, it will cost extra postage and will not be a card for our Cards in Envy challenge.
