More Layouts from Last Weekend

Here are the rest of the layouts that I did last weekend.

This layout was done with pictures from Thanksgiving last year when we went to Barry's dad's and enjoyed a great weekend with Tom, Tim and Wendy. I didn't get very many pictures but wanted to scrap the few that I had.

When Donna, Lauren and Emily came to visit last June, we went the Aquarium in Long Beach and these are a couple of the pictures from there. I did some layouts with other pictures at the NSD crop, I will try to take pictures and post those later.

These pictures were from a trip to Arizona last October to go to the Bazzill Sale. We got to meet up with a few friends and have dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. I fell in love with this paper while at the crop and just had to get it. I thought it went really well with this set of pictures.

These pictures were taken back in 2005 when Donna, Anne, Lauren and Emily came to visit and we were on the way to the airport. We stopped off at Starbucks to meet up with Kristi for a few minutes before they left.

SITH Anniversay/Closing Crop

I went to my favorite scrap store that is about 3 miles from my house for their NSD crop this year and had a really good time. The next week I got an email that after 9 years they were closing their doors. That was a very sad day for me, in fact I think I went into the store everyday that week hoping that it was a bad dream. They decided to have another crop for their anniversay, which was last weekend. I went to it and had fun again with the same group of ladies. I got a few layouts done so I will show you a couple now and then post a few more later when I get them cropped and ready to post.

These two pages were done with some pictures that I took last fall when Andy was on the coaching staff for a Pop Warner football team. He enjoyed it so much he is getting ready to do it again this year.

Here is a card that I made a couple of weeks ago and just got it photographed.

A Couple of Cards

Here are a couple of cards that I made this week. I have to tell you though that my scrap room is such a mess that I can't find anything and it was very frustrating trying to make these cards. Therefore, I have been working to clean it up and rearrange it. I hope to make a big dent in it this weekend and will try to post some before and after pictures of it.

Here are the cards. This first one is made from some Kaisercraft paper that I have had sitting on my table for quite some time trying to figure out what to do with it. I made the flower on this card from a tutorial that Karen posted on the Helmar Blog. I sprayed the paper with bubblegum glimmermist before I punched out the flowers. I also sprayed the white daisy trim that I had with the glimmermist. I like the way the card turned out.

This second card was made from the May card kit that I got from Treasured Scrapbooking. It is made with the October Afternoon papers that I am just in love with. You can also see that I used some more of my crinkled ribbon on this card.

Crinkled Ribbon

A few weeks ago my friend Eva had a post on her blog about crinkled ribbon so I just had to give it a try. Here is the ribbon that I did...

I made a card today using the ribbon along with a variation of a card that Eva designed for the May card kit over at Treasured Scrapbooking. The card that she made was round, but basically the same idea. Here is my card...

I think I need a little more practice with my bows with the crinkled ribbon because I think that by pulling too hard it straightened out the ribbon some, but I still like the effects of it. I'm sure you will be seeing more cards with this ribbon on them.

Dads Day Card

Last Sunday I went with a friend over to the Red Bee to go scrapping and they have a thing on Sunday afternoons where they make a card. It was a card that I wasn't all that crazy about but the guy that was putting it on asked us if we would be interested in doing the Dads Day card, so we said ok. Here it is...

I hope to get a few other cards done today and be back later to post.

Birthday Cards

Well it took me a little longer to get these pictures taken and posted, but I finally got them. Hopefully I can get some more cards made soon as I would like to keep a stash on-hand so that I have them when I need them.

Mother's Day Cards

I made a couple of cards this year for Mother's Day. One of the girls that I work with asked me if I could make a Mother's Day card for her in pink and green, so this is what I came up with.

Then I made this card for my mom, which she seemed to like a lot. I don't think that it would really matter what it looked like, just the fact that I made it for her.

We have been doing A Card a Day in the Month of May over at SC2C and these were a couple of the samples that I have used. I was up late last night making a few cards for the same girl at work and will post those tomorrow when I can get the pictures of them.

I still need to take pictures of the layouts that I did over NSD to post and I am going scrapping this weekend and will hopefully have a few more pages done.

Have a good evening and I will try not to take so long to come back and post more pictures.
