Happy Birthday Teresa!
Today is Teresa's birthday and I want to wish her a very special day. She is a very special friend that I have made through different scrapbooking forums and been able to get together with her on many ocassions. Happy Birthday Teresa, I hope that your day is filled with happiness and love!
Long Weekend
I am so enjoying having four days off. Kristi had the day off yesterday so we went and treated ourselves to pedicures, what a treat! And since we were in the same center with our favorite scrappy store we just had to drop in. I only picked up a few sheets of paper, but Kristi found some paper and ribbon that she didn't think she could live without.
We went by and picked up mom and went to the bowling alley to have my new bowling ball drilled and then met up with Barry and Andy to bowl a few games. I'm still waiting for the new ball to be broken in and start bowling better. I know it has to be the ball and not the bowler...
Then Barry and I took his dad out to dinner to one of our favorite mexican food restaurants. It was very yummy!
Today I am being extremely lazy and hanging out in my jammies. I have done some work this morning. Even though I am off work, doing it at home in my jammies doesn't really feel like work. I think that I will try to go up to my scrap room and try to clean it up so I can start getting things together for my Sedona trip. Then off to the grocery store to get the veggies to make Turkey soup.
Have a great day everyone!

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas everyone! Breakfast is over, the bird is in the oven and the gifts are all opened. It has been a great Christmas so far.
We had a nice Christmas Eve going over to our friends home for dinner, however, as happy as I was to have all the gifts wrapped so I could enjoy my self and not have to go home early to finish up, I ended up leaving early and going home to bed. I was not feeling well and was in bed and asleep by 9:00. After 11 hours of sleep I am feeling much better today.
The boys are having fun with Andy's new PlayStation 3 and Kristi is off visiting friends. Now I will relax until time to put the rest of dinner together.

December 23rd Already
It's hard to believe that Christmas is almost here. The past few weeks have just been crazy, but I am looking forward to enjoying Christmas and the few days off that will follow. Barry's dad is expected in today, we haven't seen him since last Christmas so it will be nice to have some quality time with him.
Wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

Time is Ticking Away
I can't believe that it is the 17th already. I am trying to get as much done as possible so that I am not trying to finish everything up on Christmas Eve this year and can relax and enjoy it instead. I have a lot of my shopping done, just a few more items to get done, but I haven't really started wrapping yet. Too busy trying to get my cards done. They are coming along and should be ready to go postal this weekend. I did get all of my packages that had to go to Colorado in the mail yesterday. I have to say that is probably the earliest that I have ever shipped. Have a great Wednesday.

Friday Already
I can't believe that it is Friday already. Where is the time going? I have a busy weekend ahead of me, but hope to be able to get to my scrap room for a few minutes. Maybe this evening if the couch doesn't grab me and refuse to let me get up... wish me luck! Have a great day!

One More Thing Off My List
Well, I can check one more item off of my list of things that I have to get done. Bunco is over and now I can move on to the next item, like getting back to working on a design for my Christmas cards and getting them done.
In preparation for Bunco I have the house cleaned, except for the guest room that I need to get into shape and ready for Barry's dad to come visit for Christmas. The tree is up and decorated and the outside is all decorated. I will try to get a picture of the outside to post, but here is a picture of the tree.
I hope that everyone has a happy and productive Thursday!

No Card Design Yet
Well, I still haven't come up with my cards yet. I am trying to use up the paper that I have rather than going out and buying more which is a challenge in its self. I also have been busy trying to get my Christmas decorations all up and the house cleaned for Bunco at my house on Wednesday. Maybe I will be able to get back to the cards later this week. Have a great week everyone!

Christmas Card Design
I have been playing around with my cricut this morning trying to come up with a design for my Christmas cards. I finished mom's yesterday so now it is time to get started (and finished) with mine. Hopefully I will be back later today with a sample of what I have come up with. Wish me luck!

Friend Card
It's Here...
My new Cricut Expression arrived yesterday! I am hoping to be able to play with it some this weekend. I saw it on TV a few weeks ago while I was getting ready for work and I called Liz on my way to work and told her... I found a new cartridge that we need, so can you do some research and find out where to get it. Well as it turned out, the new cartridge "Potpourri" was only available on this TV offer for the Expression. So I just had to have it. Now the trick will be to use it. Hopefully I will have something to post that I have made with it. Stay tuned...

Candlelight Service
Tonight Kristi, Andy and I took my mom to a candlelight service at Forest Lawn in Cypress, this is the cemetery where my dad is. It was a very nice service but a bit emotional, but I am glad that we went. My mom seemed to really enjoy it and it was comforting hearing the things that the pastor had to say. Love you Dad, you are certainly missed!
Christmas Card for Mom
For the past couple of years I have made my parents Christmas cards for them. This year I made a card for mom to send out using several different tools. I cut out the stockings with a Sizzix stocking die, embossed the bottom portion with a cuttlebug embossing folder and used Lasting Impressions papers. It is pretty basic, but I like the way it turned out. Now on to creating and making my own cards.
